How to play
Objective: Move all cards to the foundation
Setup: Quilt is played with two decks of cards. One ace
and one king of each suit are taken out of the deck to start the foundation
piles. The foundation piles that begin with an ace will play ascending to a
king, and the foundation piles that begin with a king will play descending to
an ace. Sixty-four cards are dealt into the tableau area, alternating horizontal
and vertical orientations. The remaining thirty-two cards are the "hand."

Game play: A card may be moved from the tableau to a
foundation file, provided that there is no card adjacent to one of its two
"ends" (top and bottom when oriented vertically, left and right when oriented
horizontally) and that the card is the next one that belongs on the ascending
(or descending) foundation pile.
The cards in the hand may be dealt onto the talon one at a time. A card
at the top of the talon may be played to the foundation similar to open cards
on the tableau. The hand may be played through twice.
